I learned the craft from some of the best, the original board shapers in the business. I began with Ernie Tanaka at none other than Ernie Tanaka Surf Boards. I've worked with both Roy Seamen and Benji Rabanal at CON and BING Surf Boards. In fact, I earned my living by shaping boards in the mid 1960's. I not only shape a fine board, I ride a wave or two when I have the opportunity. Ernie Tanaka taught me to shape and at that time paid me about $2.50 a rail.
